Met het begin van het nieuwe jaar beginnen ook de goede voornemens. En hoewel ik al heel wat jaartjes roep dat ik geen voornemens heb, zijn die er stiekem wel altijd.
Mijn voornemen van dit jaar was om in januari mijn ufo’s op te maken. Ja mijn ufo’s in de ufobak. Mijn ‘Un-Finished Objects’. Die is om eerlijk te zijn vorig jaar behoorlijk vol geraakt.
With the start of the new year so start good intentions. And even though I shout out many years I do not do good intentions… silently I always do.
This years good intention was to finish my UFO’s. Yes the ufo’s in the ufo’sstoragecontainer. My ‘Un-Finished Objects. To be hounest last year it got pretty filled up.
Maar toen was daar opeens de oproep voor het testen van kind patronen van Sofilantjes. En mijn hart won van het verstand, want die jumpsuit leek me erg heerlijk voor onze kleine draak.
But suddenly there was that testcalling for a child from Sofilantjes. And heart won over mind, because that jumpsuit looked pretty lovely for my little dragon.
En…. ja hoor ik mocht joinen in het testen. In de grootste maat, want de jumpsuit gaat maar tot 2y/92 en laat kleine draak daar nu net invallen. Het was even puzzelen met tijd om te naaien. De afgelopen tijd zitten de twee hier elkaar geregeld in de haren en als ze dan eindelijk slapen (nog iets wat de kleine draak niet wil) is de energie om nog te gaan naaien ver weg. Maar overdag kan niet want kleine grijpgrage vingertjes en naalden zijn goede combinatie. Ik ben al blij als ik iets weet te knippen zonder dat ze aan de stof gaan trekken.
So yeah, I got selected for testing. In the biggest size, because the jumpsuit only goes to size 2Y/92 and my little one is just that size. It was a bit of a puzzle to fit sewing time. Lately they have a sibling rivelry and once they go to bed (something else the little one does not do) energy is hardly around.
It cannot be done in daytime, because little sticky fingers and needles ain’t a good idea. And lately I’m content if I can cut out some fabric without the fabric being pulled on.
ver stof gesproken: ik vreesde dat ik te weinig stof had!
Niet in hoeveelheid, de bakken zijn allemaal vol! Maar wel in de hoeveelheid. De kleine meid is zo hard gegroeid dat 50cm in lengte stof echt niet meer voldoende is! En laat de meeste stoffen dat nog steeds zijn. Dat betekend ook creatief worden voor jurken en veel meer met effen combineren. Ze gaan ook zo hard!
Maar gelukkig voor mijn man: ik had stof wat én leuk was voor de kleine draak en ook nog eens voldoende lengte had om er wat leuks uit te maken.
Speaking about fabric. I was afraid I didn’t had enough fabric!
Not in quantity, because all the containers are full! But I was worried about lenght wise. She grew so much lately that 50cm in length was not enough anymore. And most of my fabrics are still 50cm in length. It also means I have to get a bit creative and adding unicolor fabric. They grow up so fast!
But lucky for my husband: I had a fabric what was both suitable for my daughter and long enough to make the jumpsuit.
Onze kleine draak is er blij mee. Ze vind hem heerlijk zitten en mama vind hem nog leuk staan ook. Een heerlijke huispak voor als je je niet zo lekker voelt.
Our little dragon is very happy with it. She loves how it fits and I like the way he looks on her. A lovely homewear if your not feeling well.
