Tot mijn spijt heb ik de afgelopen tijd niet heel veel mee kunnen werken aan patroontests. Werk, studie en stagelopen samen maakt best een druk leven. Er is gelukkig wel naaitijd, maar echt testen is wat moeilijker om in te plannen.
Maar toch heb ik afgelopen weken niet 1, maar 2 tests doorlopen! Wat toch heerlijk, maar ook wat rustig. Want er werd in twee groepen getest, zodat je maar 1 versie + een final hoefde te gaan maken. Dit maakte het mogelijk om aan beiden te werken.
Ik introduceer je de Lily sweater en de Emma rok. Van Fab4you. In de maten 50 tot 164
To my own sorrow, I didn’t had much time to participate in the testing for patterns. Work, study and the internship makes a busy life. Lucky enough there is a bit of sewingtime in my week, but testing is a bit harder to put in my agenda.
But to my own surprise in the past two weeks I managed not only to test 1 pattern, but even two! It was so great and so relaxed. Because you only had one version to sew and a final if you wished. And that made it possible to work on both. So without further ado; let me introduce you to the Lily sweater and the Emma skirt. From Fab4you. In the sizes newborn till 14years.
Jammer genoeg werkte het weer niet echt mee om buiten foto’s te maken, dus moesten we binnen er maar het beste van maken.
To bad the weather was not coöperating over here so I had to do with photo’s inside. We made the best of it as possible.
Ik begin bij de Lily!
Een heerlijke sweater in twee lengte opties, normaal en crop. 3 mouw opties: kort, ballon mouwen en normale lange mouwen. Je kan zo heerlijk variëren in het maken van een sweater. Hij heeft een oversized look wat hem heerlijk comfortabel laat lijken. Hij wordt aangeraden om in een French Terry te maken, maar kan ook prima in een stevige tricot worden gemaakt.
In een crop versie staat hij heerlijk op een (zomer)jurk of draag hem met een hemdje eronder. Met een highwaist of een paperbagtaille staat de crop versie ook schitterend.
De normale lengte versie is leuk op een strakkere broek of legging. Juist de combinatie van een wat oversized trui met een skinnybroek maakt hem erg leuk.
Wat de Lily vooral zo leuk en speels maakt is de heupband. Deze loopt niet door, maar heeft een leuke split achter zitten. Dit maakt hem net even wat anders. De split kan je natuurlijk ook aan de voorkant of de zijkant maken als je dit een leuk effect vind.
I shall start with the Lily!
It’s a lovely sweater in two length optios. A normal length and a crop length. It has three sleeve options, short, balloon and normal long sleeves. You have plenty of variaty options to make a sweater. It has a oversized look to it, what gives it a very nice relaxt look. It’s been advised to make it in a French Terry, but with a what thicker jersey you can make it aswell.
The crop length looks lovely on a (summer)dress. Or wear it with a camisol. Combine it with a high waist or paperbag waist and the crop version looks lovely.
The normal length looks really great on a skinny jeans or leggings. The combination with a skinnypants and the oversized look make it fun.
What the lily makes special is it’s waistband. It had a little splint, what just makes it a bit different. The split ofcourse can be switched to the side or veen front for a different effect.
En dan gaan we naar de Emma!
Deze rimpelrok heeft meerdere taille opties. Zo is er de normale tailleband. En een normale met strik. Een paperbag optie en een paperbag met strik optie.
Ook kan de rok in twee lengtes worden gemaakt, normaal en kort. En deze twee zijn prima met elkaar te combineren om een lagen rok te maken.
And then we have the Emma!
This pleated skirt has multiple waist options. A normal waist, a normal with sash. A paperbag or a paperbag with sash…
The skirt has two length options, normal and short. And if you combine the two you get a nice layerd skirt!
Zoals je kunt lezen zijn er genoeg opties voor beide patronen. Ze zijn goed te maken, ook voor beginners. De handleiding heeft duidelijke tekeningen die je prima kunt volgen. Hij is wel alleen in het Engels, maar de tekeningen maken de instructies zeer goed te volgen. Ook als je Engels niet zo sterk is…
Ik raad ze ten zeerste aan, want mijn dochter vind ze geweldig.
As you can read, there are enough options to both patterns. They aren’t hard to make, it’s very beginner friendly. The instructions has clear drawings to follow. The instructions are in english only.
I do recommend the patterns, there lovely. My daughter loves them.
